Are you staying or going?67
(The picture has no real connection to the post, I just find it funny!)
On with the blog................
The decision has been made and you are either staying another year or heading off at Christmas or June/July, 2018. At least you are over that decision and can move forward with making plans for holidays or begin applying for other jobs.
If you are staying, good on you!
If you are moving on, good on you!
It was your decision to make and yours only, I'm sure that everyone have given you their own opinions but ultimately it was your decision to make and I hope that you are happy with it.
If you've decided to move on it is a little scarey, whether you have another job or not. You have all that new stuff to go through again.
And let's not forget what shoes to keep and give away (priorities here!).
Different recruiters want different things of you.
Be prepared to spend time doing your CV' s in different ways, the ways that the recruiters like.
Be prepared that different schools will habe different application documents. Some may be general and say a CV, cover letter and that's it. Others may be more specific and have a limit on pages, a page of teaching philosophy and a page of 3 referees only. Have these ready and make sure when you send them you have made the necessary changes.
I've read letters that were clearly used before that have the wrong names of principal's, schools and dates. Be thorough in editing your work. My red wine blog mistakes are not an example, but with these I'm not trying to impress anyone.
Go for any job you may want to go for.
