Lay back and think of Thailand......

I'm on the way out and remaining positive but give me strength, it's hard.
This morning a colleague passed me on the way to lunch and he looked the other way, clearly not a fan of mine but was in no way being professional. Just because you are leaving somewhere does not give you or anyone else the right to behave poorly to one another. As I've said, if you don't have the guts to say it when you are there, then don't say it because you are leaving.
Don't get me wrong, I'm leaving with great memories and many life long friends, I've loved it here and I'm moving for promotion and lifestyle. I am grateful for my current place of employment for all the opportunities that have come my way.
I think that this is the opposite to the 'culture shock' you get when you arrive, I think that if you and others know you are leaving, there's this potential to be a bastard. I wont be one of them and I'm hoping that no one pushes the button with me either (my mother is a redhead and I got the temper).
If you are leaving your current place, leave on good terms with most. For those who want to look the other way, let them......karma will sort that one out.
Cheers,
HB
